FAQs
Where can I find you??
We can be found at the Haymarket Farmers Market on Sundays from mid-April to mid-November from 9-1. During the off-market season you can email us at [email protected] to set up parties or individual meet-ups.
Can I wash and style my hair with tinsel in it?
You sure can! You'll want to make sure that you don't scrub your roots or brush from the roots, just to make sure you don't catch the knots that secure the tinsel to your hair. We recommend you start brushing about a quarter of an inch from your roots to be safe. When you wash your hair, just be gentle so you don't tug the tinsel out.
The tinsel we use can take heat, so you can use a blow dryer, hair straightener, and/or curling iron when you style your hair. As with brushing and washing, you want to be careful and gentle so that you don't tug out the tinsel or apply heat for too long so the tinsel melts.

How do I get the tinsel out?
As long as you take care of the tinsel, it can last for several weeks. If you'd like to take it out before it falls out on its own, you can brush or comb your hair from the roots and that will help the tinsel move down your hair until it comes out. We recommend doing this gently to avoid breaking your hair or causing pain to the scalp.
What if I have curly hair? Can I still get tinsel?
Unfortunately, tinsel is VERY straight and it doesn't match up to curly hair. You can try to curl the tinsel with a curling iron to match your natural curls, but it likely won't curl as well as you'd like. We wish there were a better solution for our curly-haired friends!
What color tinsel can I get in my hair?
We have a large selection of colors! You can choose to have one color in your hair or several--the possibilities are endless!
